Does a residential relocation enable satisfying travel?

Transport-related residential self-selection indicates that people try to live in a neighbourhood line with their travel preferences and needs. Although studies have found attitudes are mostly aligned urban form characteristics of the location, no explored whether actually able preferred way after having relocated. In this study we analyse individuals’ patterns consistent following relocation if congruency affects satisfaction. Results from 1650 recently relocated residents city Ghent (Belgium) indicate most respondents were change behaviour congruence attitudes. The decrease duration, distance, car use, public transport an increase walking cycling increased This is particularly true when changes interacted show levels attitudes, satisfaction increases strongly. However, interaction between does not always explain (improvements).
